  • We welcome our new and returning guests this morning! If you would like to be on our mailing list, please fill out a welcome slip (on the stands in the back) and place in the offering plate or the prayer request box in the foyer. Thank you.

SAMARITANS PURSE SHOE BOXES

  • Please join the middle school girls after Sunday School next Sunday for a quick lunch and a big assembly party as we fill shoeboxes with all of your generous gifts and prepare them for delivery.

MISSIONS

  • On Sunday morning, November 2, Missionary Jonah K will be preaching at Trinity. We will have an extra opportunity to hear from him 5:30-7:30 that evening. Jonah will speak about the current situation for Christians in Pakistan at our Missions dinner. Please plan to come for the meal at 5:30. We ask that those attending sign up for particular dishes. For those who prefer not to cook, please participate by helping with setup, clean up, or donating money to help pay for the turkey. Sign up sheets will be in the foyer following the worship service, and on the hall bulletin board during the week. Child care will be available for ages 5 and under during Jonah’s talk. Please contact Elaine Bonner directly (elaine@trinityasheville.com) by Monday, October 27 to make a reservation.
  • A team at Covenant PCA in Hendersonville has three paid spots for a mission trip to Bay St. Louis, MS to work with the Lagniappe PCA church. Dates are November 1-8. Anyone interested in joining us can contact Joe Maxey joe@trinitygroupusa.com.
  • The missions ministry group is looking for someone to coordinate the “redecoration” of the Missions Room (Room 201). If you are interested, please contact Dawn Moore
  • There are a number of short term mission trip opportunities in the near future. If you would like more information on these trips, please contact those coordinating the trips: US Gulf Coast (Randy Bartlett); Haiti (Donnie Williams); Ethiopia; Ukraine (Paul Kendall); Dominican Republic (Brad Burlingham).

WOMEN

  • Ladies, our next Lunch Bunch is on Thursday, November 6 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at church. This is a great time for women to meet for fellowship, prayer, devotional time, book reviews and discussion. We bring a dish to share. RSVP to Sharon Frost at 299-4922.

MEN

  • Men, you are invited to participate in a men’s retreat at Ridge Haven on November 7-8, 2008. The cost is $70. Brochures are in the foyer.

CHILDREN

  • Our Wednesday Kids Camp cordially invites the congregation to a lunch theater to be held immediately after Sunday School on November 9. Vignettes based on the parables of the Prodigal Son, The Good Samaritan, and the Ungrateful Servant will be presented. The children will share what they have learned in their catechism classes and the younger children will sing some of the songs they have learned this fall. Please RSVP by signing up in the foyer.
